Guidelines for Oral Presentations

To ensure that your presentation displays correctly, ASOMPS speakers giving a keynote/plenary/guest lecture are asked to adhere to the presentation guidelines below.

Audio/Visual & Equipment Available 

All oral session meeting rooms are equipped with the following audio/visual equipment:

  • LCD projector
  • Computer (Windows-based PC)
  • Screen
  • Laser pointer

Acceptable Formats

MS Windows: Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 or earlier, Acrobat PDF

Create a Backup Copy of Your Presentation

We recommend you to bring at least two copies of your presentation to the meeting in case there is a problem with one.

Time Allocation

Be considerate of other speakers and the audience by staying within your allotted time. Session moderators will hold you to the allotted time. This is essential to ensure adequate time for questions and discussion as well as adherence to the schedule.

Keynote address : 40 minutes (Inauguration Ceremony), 30 minutes (Technical Sessions)

Plenary lecture: 40 minutes (Inauguration Ceremony), 30 minutes (Technical Sessions)

Guest lecture: 20 minutes

Abstract presentation: 15 minutes (including questions)
